Reading – Darllen

After publicising last week’s staff and pupil reading challenge, we thought this week it would be good to share the wide range of reading opportunities parents should look for to encourage their child to read more, making it routine in the household and when with the family.
Here are some ‘Top Tips’ for promoting and increasing the amount of reading children can do at home:
📚 Look for reading opportunities all of the time! For example, news articles, magazines, comics, recipes and webpages.
📚 Make reading books part of the family, so read and discuss books with the whole family and friends.
📚 Encourage a love of reading!
