Update- Tuesday 8th September 2020 (Official advice regarding CVD symptoms)

Dear parents/carers,
I am pleased to say that we have had a very good start to this academic year despite the impact of Covid19.
It is with this in mind that I wish to remind all parents and carers that the Welsh Government guidance states- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD A PUPIL ATTEND SCHOOL IF THEY;
– feel unwell.
– have any of the identified COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or loss of taste or smell) or they have tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 10 days;
– has been tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 10 days;
– live in a household with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Therefore, we ask that you not send your child into school if they come under ANY of the statements above.
In addition, if your child becomes unwell in school, they will be isolated and the school will contact you immediately to collect them as usual.
If your child then develops Covid-19 you must follow the Welsh Government guidance and ALL family members must self-isolate at home. You must arrange an urgent test for your child by calling 119 or book online at www.gov.wales/coronavirus and keep the school fully informed of the outcome.
If your child then does not develop one of the main Covid-19 symptoms, they can return to school 48 hours after the initial symptoms occurred.
In cases where another member of the household has tested positive for COVID-19, then all members of that household must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days.
Thank you and please stay safe.
Ms Ceri-Ann Morris
