Many of you will be aware that at the end of last week Education Minister, Kirsty Williams, confirmed that all pupils will be able to return to school in September. The Minister confirmed that the Autumn term will start on September 1st 2020, and that there will be a period of flexibility in recognition that schools may want to focus on priority year groups, such as those new to secondary schools, those sitting exams next summer or those in reception classes. This will also allow time, up to a fortnight, for any planning and reorganisation.
Now that we have this information our Senior Leadership Team are working hard to finalise details of a plan that will look to welcome all of our pupils back after the Summer. As soon as we have decided how we will utilise the first two weeks of the new term we will share details with you, but as was clear from the Minister’s announcement all pupils will be back in school full time by Monday September 14th.
