Headteacher’s blog 26.01.24

Milford Haven School’s Drama Club have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to bring you a brilliant new production. They have put their heads together and adapted the classic love story of Cinderella. Since their show-stopping performances last year in High School Musical: On Stage they have been waiting to get back on stage to entertain you again. They have taken over today’s blog where you will meet the very talented cast, hear from the director and find out how you can purchase tickets to the unmissable performances.

This year’s production is going to be incredible! The Drama Club have not only put hours of rehearsal time in, they have also adapted the script themselves. I am extremley proud of the effort they have poured in to making this show as amazing as the rest that the MHS Drama Club has performed. I can guarantee that audiences of all ages will enjoy every second of this classic love story with a twist. Staff have been working with our biggest cast to date and the commitment given by all has been amazing. I feel really lucky to be a part of it!

An MHS adaptation of Cinderella
This adaptation of the classic love story centres around the life of Cinderella, soon to be Princess. With a wicked stepmother and two horrible stepsisters who keep her enslaved and in rags, Cinderella stands no chance of going to the royal ball. Or does she? Fun for the whole family, this fantastic show will feature some classic characters as well as new Milford Haven inspired characters that help Cinderella transform from rags to riches to help her win the Prince’s heart. She will have to be quick though, you know how the story goes, when the clock strikes midnight…

Meet the cast...

As always it has been a pleasure to be part of this production- the cast are wonderful young people who have really committed themselves to putting on a great show. It has been so much fun to adapt a classic story and make it our own. We can’t wait to bring it to life on the stage.
