Head Prefects

Michael

What subjects do you study?
Triple Science, Additional Maths, History and Metal Engineering
What’s your favourite thing about being a Head Prefect?
I enjoy representing the school, including through the Rugby Team. I strive to help you find what you enjoy about school.
Highlight of your time as a Head Prefect so far:
I am enjoying hearing what everyone has to say and implementing ideas by means of the Senedd Committees and Pupil Voice. I am looking forward to the challenges that come with being Head Prefect.

Rebecca

What subjects do you study?
Business Studies, Hospitality and Catering, Sociology and History.
What’s your favourite thing about being a Head Prefect?
I am enjoying making positive changes and listening to Pupil Voice. My job is to represent you. I really enjoy being in the finance subcommittee in our Senedd.
Highlight of your time as a Head Prefect so far:
Working hard in school while fulfilling my role as Head Prefect.

Deputy Head Prefects

History, French, Media Studies and Digital Technology
What’s your favourite thing about being a Deputy Head Prefect?
I am enjoying forming bonds and positive relationships with pupils in school.
Highlight of your time as a Deputy Head Prefect so far:
I am enjoying listening to the Pupil Voice and pushing for change that others want.

Business, Art, French and Sociology.
What’s your favourite thing about being a Deputy Head Prefect?
I enjoy being a part of the Environment Subcommittee and being able to represent pupils in Pupil Voice.
Highlight of your time as a Deputy Head Prefect so far:
Bringing positive change to our school and hearing new ideas.

What’s your favourite thing about being a Deputy Head Prefect?
Helping others to find something they are passionate about.
Highlight of your time as a Deputy Head Prefect so far:
Helping to implement everyone’s ideas to make your time at MHS as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

Sociology, Business, Engineering and Physical Education.
What’s your favourite thing about being a Deputy Head Prefect?
I am enjoying making connections and positive relationships with everyone.
Highlight of your time as a Deputy Head Prefect so far:
I am enjoying working with a team, collaborating and sharing ideas and opinions with my peers.

What’s your favourite thing about being a Deputy Head Prefect?
I am enjoying discussing things with pupils in school. Understanding their points of view and ultimately making changes.
Highlight of your time as a Deputy Head Prefect so far:
I am really enjoying learning from other people’s passions and hearing about how we can incorporate them more into school life.

It was an incredibly high quality field of applicants and therefore a really difficult decision to make. However, the pupils who have been selected as Head Prefect and the Deputies will make a tremendous team next year, setting a fantastic example to our younger pupils and will be supported by a great team of Senior Prefects. I would also like to thank our current set of Head and Deputy head Prefects who have done a fantastic job this year.
