Headteacher’s blog 08.03.2024

Shwmae, and welcome back to the Headteacher’s Blog. This week we have dedicated our blog to International Women’s Day.

International Women's Day 2024

As we commemorate International Women’s Day, our school community proudly joins the global movement to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide. Today, we take a moment to reflect on the progress made, acknowledge the challenges that remain, and reaffirm our commitment to empowering the next generation of female leaders.

International Women’s Day provides us with an opportunity to pay homage to the trailblazing women who have paved the way for progress in various fields. From scientists to activists, artists to entrepreneurs, their contributions have shaped our world and inspired generations to come. As a school, we recognise the importance of teaching our pupils about these remarkable individuals, ensuring that their legacies endure and continue to inspire future leaders.

On this International Women’s Day, let us celebrate the achievements of women past and present, and recommit ourselves to building a more equitable and inclusive world for future generations. Together, we can empower young women to become leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will shape the future of our world. This week we ran our ‘Who Inspires You’ campaign. Pupils had the chance to share with us the women who inspire them everyday.
