Again in celebration of International Women’s Day, a group of MHS girls attended a special ‘Activity Taster Day’ last Friday. Our girls all had the opportunity to try a variety of sports such as RIKA and spin, which are classes available to them locally should they want to continue them to support their own personal wellbeing and health.
At the end of the day the girls were all given special wellness packs that included a reusable water bottle, face wipes, a face pack, information on local fitness classes and leaflets on period poverty and what is being done to support our girls here at MHS. We are very proud of this event, and have been overwhelmed by the incredibly positive feedback we have received from all those who attended.
Dathlu Dydd Gwyl Dewi!
Wiktoria Kurek, Stevie Joseph and Jessica Sandy, all pupil in Blwyddyn 10 recently attended a Welsh language conference in Caerdydd, arranged by the Urdd. The event included lots of games to encourage the pupils to get involved and start speaking Welsh.
Wiktoria says that they had a great time gargling Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. Other activities included bowling, a treasure hunt and guest speakers. They rounded off the whole event with a Twmpath Dawns on the last day. The girls are really keen to go again and felt that the weekend really improved their spoken Welsh. Da iawn nhw.
We have received information today from FAW (Football Association Wales) that all football games at all levels are to be suspended till April 4th. Sadly this means that the planned semi final match for our Year 8 team against Haverfordwest High next week will have to be rescheduled. We will keep you updated with regards to the details of the rescheduled game.
Please note that as requested we have extended the deadline for pupils to return the order forms, as shown in the photo below. Pupils now have till Wednesday March 18th to return their forms, if any replacement forms are required spares are available at main reception.
Thank you to everyone who has already returned their forms. We are very excited to be able to offer these reusable sanitary products for free to all MHS girls that would like to take advantage of this fantastic offer!
We are very pleased to announce that thanks to some Big Lottery funding Milford Haven School are now the proud owners of this amazing outdoor gym equipment. Today we caught some of our lovely sixth form students having a go, and as you can see from all the smiles it’s already a big hit!
