Milford Haven School’s Drama Club have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to bring you a brilliant performance of the award winning musical ‘Our House’. Since their show-stopping performance of Grease in 2019, they have been waiting to get back on stage to entertain our whole school community. They have taken over today’s blog where you will meet the very talented cast, hear from the director and find out how you can purchase tickets to next weeks unmissable performances.
I have been fortunate to work with the young people to bring ‘Our House’ to life. We have some very talented young people across all subject areas in MHS and once again we are ready to show what we can do. I am so proud of each and every one of them who have given up their own time to put the show together.
Da iawn.
Mr Sayers – Director
Our House
Our House is a musical with music and lyrics by Madness and one song “It Must Be Love” written by Labi Siffre and a book by playwright Tim Firth. Premiering at The Cambridge Theatre in 2002, Our House was the winner of the 2003 Olivier award for Best New Musical and has since gone on to tour both nationally and internationally to great acclaim. Through the music of Madness, writer Tim Firth explores the themes of love, family values, growing up, responsibility, and dealing with losing the people that shape us and next week the Drama Club at MHS bring you their production and interpretation of this award-winning musical.
