Update – Monday 1st June 2020. (Welcome back and ‘School to School Challenge’ 2020!)

Welcome back! We hope that you all enjoyed a safe half term, and after a glorious dose of sunshine are now ready & recharged for the final 7 weeks of term. Although the next 7 weeks will no doubt look slightly different to our usual last half term of an academic year, we are still here to support our MHS family however you need us.

Teaching staff are still working hard remotely to ensure that our pupils are able to continue their learning journey at home as best they can, and support staff will be checking in with pupils to ensure we get a virtual dose of TLC. Our senior leadership team are busy behind the scenes planning next steps towards returning to normal, and it is evident that you are all doing your absolute best at home given the challenging circumstances we face. All in all it is clear that the whole MHS team are working hard, and we are proud of everyone for the vital role that they are playing in supporting our young people.

Please continue to monitor our usual methods of communication so we can keep you as up to date as possible with useful information and guidance over the coming weeks. Stay safe. ⚓️

MHS RACE AROUND THE SCHOOLS- 2020 CHALLENGE
Monday June 1st 2020 to Friday June 12th 2020

Mr Craig Butland, Active Young People Officer for Milford Haven School has organised an incredible fundraising event for the Milford Haven School family.

You will see full details in the poster attached, and we also have a video from Mr Butland on our school social media pages explaining how the challenge will work. We are aiming to complete the distance from MHS to all secondary schools in the county and back again- and in the process raise some much needed funds for some of the incredible charities that support our Milford Haven community.

If you have any questions about the ‘MHS Race Around the Schools 2020 Challenge’ or would like to know more please email cbutland@milfordhavenschool.co.uk.

We hope that all of our pupils and staff will support this fundraising challenge. In total we are aiming to collectively complete 257 miles, so every step counts! Whether you contribute one or one hundred miles we would love for you to be a part of this journey with us. If you do decide to take part please upload your distances / journeys in the ‘PUPIL – MHS Challenge’ club on Strava (link attached below). If you do not have Strava and use a different app, don’t panic you can screenshot your distance and email cbutland@milfordhavenschool.co.uk so we can track the totals.

There is a house competition to see which house can collate the most miles within this challenge, and there will also be an individual leader board for the competitive sports people among us! When you upload your journey to Strava please use the following hashtags to get this challenge trending! #TeamMHS #RaceAroundTheSchools

This is all about fun, fitness and supporting some great local causes. We would also love to see some photos of you all on your journeys so please send them in to your form tutors/ HOH. Get your trainers ready and pob lwc pawb!
