We are very proud to let you all know that the DT department here at MHS have been hard at work using our 3D printer to print face shields for local key workers. Milford Haven School are one of very few schools in the County with a 3D printer, and we are extremely honoured to be doing our bit to support the front line staff working so tirelessly to keep us all safe.
Ms Morris, Headteacher- “I think it is truly amazing, and a fantastic example to set for our pupils, seeing people like Mr Owen and Ms Sizer thinking outside of the box to find creative ways to help our local community during these difficult times.”
To end the school term on a high, here are some photos showing the last of our stock of face shields being distributed locally. On Friday 3.4.20 Lloyd’s pharmacy Robert Street, Cohen’s pharmacy Manchester Square Health Center, paramedics, Manchester Square Doctors surgery including district nurse team and the hospital have had deliveries.
In a last boost to the front line workers in the NHS, to add to their PPE stocks, the science department have donated a class set of goggles.
We regularly talk about acts of kindness, but this week we really feel like we have walked the walk and set a fantastic example for MHS pupils of how everyone has the capability to make a positive difference in the world.
