The Harbour is a unique, innovative learning facility developed within the grounds of Milford Haven School in partnership with industry approved education providers Really Pro Ltd.
Both KS3 + KS4 Pupils accessing Harbour facilities can pursue a range of experiential learning opportunities and Qualifications in Wales points approved alternative GCSE education options. Our programmes are designed to inspire and engage pupils and provide them with ‘real life’ industry skills and capabilities that they can take into industry after they leave school or enter further education.

The Harbour aims to give young people the ‘opportunity’ to connect to topics they are interested in inspiring them to develop relevant, industry skills that can connect them to a career pathway during and after they leave school.
KS3 – Years 7 to 9 can enjoy a range of learning programmes exploring a range of innovative, exciting subject areas as a taster into KS4 options.
KS4 – Years 10 & 11 can access a range of alternative, vocationally recognised qualifications as GCSE Level 2 equivalent options.
Year 7 – 9 pupils can start a progression pathway within The Harbour under our BRIGHT FUTURES programme. The 6 week programmes of learning are designed to engage, inspire and connect pupils to a route or pathway of education that helps them look at industry and other options before they choose their defined subject areas in Y9. The programme focuses the following subject areas:
– Music / DJ Production
– Creative Graphic & Web Design
– Google 360 & Drone technologies
– Photography
– Fashion Design / Textile Media
– Enterprise & Employability Studies
Years 10 & 11 can access a range of alternative vocational recognised qualifications as GCSE Level 2 that is equivalent to a GCSE Grade C and above.
All of the qualifications delivered in The Harbour are accredited by awarding bodies and have been designed to meet the latest delivery requirements for GCSE alternatives that are recognised by QiW. The qualifications also meet the new Ofsted Common Inspection Framework and recommendations for digital delivery as set out by the Further Education Learning Technology Action Group (FELTAG).
