YEAR 10 v Ysgol Greenhill

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏆 YEAR 10 v Ysgol Greenhill 12.01.23 🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A fantastic & spirited performance in difficult conditions see the Year 10 football team through to the Last 16 of the Welsh Cup after what was a game of two halves, eventually winning 5-1 after being behind 1-0 at half time.

MHS fell behind to a thunderous strike from distance after having several chances in the first half we went in 1-0 down. Then 5 minutes into the second half we started incredibly well which seen us draw level & grab a second in quick succession, the first coming from a well hit 20 yard strike from Dylan followed by a scrappy goal that was bundled home by Rowan which seen the large crowd of MHS pupils cheer on in the awful conditions.

Suddenly 2-1 up was a different game and we scored 2 further goals in 5 minutes through a bullet header from Reggie & another well taken goal from Rowan seen us 4-1 up. Then with 15 minutes to go Corey Ri put one in the top left hand corner to seal an emphatic victory and see us keep possession well for the final stages of the match winning 5-1.

It was a great SQUAD performance in what was a thrilling victory in horrendous weather!
The big squad all played their part from start to finish due to the limited number of substitutes allowed in the Welsh Cup. Well done boys! 👏
