All parents and carers are warmly invited to join us at our next Family Forum, to be held 5pm Wednesday January 29th here at Milford Haven School.
A huge da iawn to this extremely talented MHS pupil who competed last night in the Rotary Music Competition at Pembrokeshire College.
Unfortunately on this occasion he did not win, but the standard of entry this year was exceptionally high and he did himself and Milford Haven School proud with an incredible performance.
On Thursday we held an information session for all MHS pupils and their families who wanted to learn more about our Feminine Hygiene / Period Poverty grant and how the money is being spent.
We aimed to share general information available on reusable sanitary products, and there were also samples available to show some of what has already been purchased for our sixth form girls and other female students. Those who attended were offered the chance to have up to £50 worth of free products, so that our young ladies have the option to try reusable sanitary items without having to bear the cost. We have put together a helpful information leaflet shown below, a PDF copy of this document has been shared on WEDUC and our website.
This topic will be discussed again at the upcoming Family Forum and we hope to see many of you there.
Milford Haven School are through to the quarter finals of the Welsh Cup!!!
This week our amazingly talented Year 8 football team beat Bishopston School 1 – 1 Milford Haven School (Milford won the game 5-3 on Penalties).
We were losing 1-0 until Scott Paddison scored a bullet header with only 7 minutes to go!
The game finished 1-1 which meant the winners were to be decided on penalties, and after we scored all five, we won 5-3 with Aidan Tansey saving the first penalty.
Harry Young , Owen Rickard , Jayden Barrett ,
George Wheeler , Ashley Watkins scored our penalties.
A incredible overall team performance, and we hope all the boys are as proud of themselves as we are.
Milford Haven School had a really positive day at the Pembrokeshire County cross country event this week, with many of our athletes pushing themselves to achieve fantastic results.
Year 7 girls – we had a 1st and 2nd place in the County from Darcy Phillips and Nina Marsh.
Year 8/9 boys- we had Evan Ruthord and Charlie Malloy come 8th and 9th.
Year 10/11 boys- we had Lucas Davies and Oliver Ryder who both extremely well coming 11th and 13th and the youngest competing in this age group.
We are proud of each pupil who represented our school to such a high standard. There were around 70 competitors per race, and this was on of our best attended cross country events with 30 pupils competing on behalf of MHS. Go team Milford!
