MHS House System

The House System aims to provide each and every learner with the following:

• A sense of belonging within the school community
• Opportunities to develop intellectual, social, and physical skills
• Fun and excitement through competitions
• A sense of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom
• Opportunities for leadership

Each House is in competition with one another in order to gain the most number of points for their House Pupils can contribute to their house points with activities both inside and outside of the classroom through representing the school in sports, music, drama etc as well as contributing to the life of the school community.

Each area of learning will provide opportunities for pupils to gain house points throughout the year. Pupils can also gain points for attendance and achievement.

Students have the opportunity to earn points each lesson of the day, which are allocated through Class Charts. However they can earn extra points earned through participation in extracurricular activities and supporting the local community.

The house committee offer a range of competitions and activities throughout academic year, again points are awarded for participation in such events.

During your time here at Milford Haven School, your house will become like your family, if you have any worries or concerns your Head of House will always be on hand to help.
