👏👏👏Thursday is fast becoming our favourite day of the week, we adore the huge dose of positivity delivered by our community claps at 8pm. 👏 👏👏

We hope that you will join us at 8pm every Thursday and clap to show your appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the NHS and all key workers. We would love it if you could share with us a short video or photo of you clapping with your families, showing the true and amazing community spirit that exists in Milford Haven.
Please comment on Facebook with your photo/ video, or email it to gbaker@milfordhavenschool.co.uk. Stay safe

A reminder of some important changes to Free School Meals payments:

Parents and guardians of children entitled to Free School Meals are being reminded of important upcoming changes to the way the meals are paid. The current system of vouchers redeemable at Tesco stores is valid up to and including Friday 1st May.
However, from Monday 4th May, your Free School Meal entitlement will be paid by bank transfer, for the two weeks up to Friday 15th May.
The rate is £3.90 per day, per child. For the Council to pay this money, they must have your bank account details.

All those entitled to Free School Meals should have received a letter from PCC about the changes, included in this letter is a request for your bank details. It is very important that you give your bank details as soon as you can, as PCC will not be able to get the money to you without them.

If you haven’t had a letter, or you need another one, please email fsmpayments@pembrokeshire.gov.uk, or telephone 01437 775250 as soon as possible.
Please ensure ALL details on the form, including National Insurance number, are completed before returning.

All pupils are strongly advised wherever possible to check their school email accounts at least once a day (Mon-Fri) and check-in with their house tutor once a week. This can be done via a computer, electronic device or phone and needs to be done regularly to allow pupils to stay up to date with important announcements, vital communication from staff, along with information and support with classwork.

These are very unusual times and one day far from now, when this is all over, you will be telling your children about the time that our brilliant community overcame a huge challenge. How we stuck together in really tough circumstances, and found creative ways to help and care for each other.

At a time when we need each other the most to stay apart seems to go against all our instincts. For the greater good we must continue to social distance and follow the government guidance, and hopefully we will all look back proudly on our actions during this testing period. Stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Milford Haven School when the time is right. 🌈
