My name is Miss Mansell and I am the Strategic Leader for Key Stage 2 and 3. My role is to ensure the progress of each and every pupil who joins our school. At Milford Haven School we pride ourselves on our Transition programme, which doesn’t start when you join in Year 7 but rather much earlier. Working closely with our family of schools we ensure we know our pupils, their learning styles and their potential before they join us in September ensuring a smooth transition. Our transition focuses not only on our academic standards but also ensures pupils are prepared socially and emotionally for the next step of their learning journey.
I very much look forward to meeting you and working with you to ensure you achieve your potential
Hello, My Name is Mr Williams I am the Head of Year 8. It is an exiting time for you in Year 8 as you will soon choose your options, making decisions for your future. It is a time to try out new experiences and to embrace all the opportunities you are offered here in school. Please remember that there are a number of people here in school that can advise and support you no matter what you are going through. Remember Ambition is critical. Reach for the stars.
My name is Mrs Wilcox and I am the Head of Year 9. Year 9 have just made their GCSE choices and are coming to the end of Key Stage 3. It is a very exciting time. I would like to think that I have been able to help and guide my pupils during the options process and that they have all made positive choices.
My door is always open to the pupils in my Year group and I like to think that I am able to help them with any problems and difficulties they have.
Year 11 is obviously an incredibly important year for our pupils and one that comes with great responsibility. We have a fantastic set of form tutors and support staff who are very experienced in supporting pupils through the process of their GCSE exams. This year is also about preparing our pupils for the next stage in their lives whether that be 6th Form, College or starting work, there will be a variety of events taking place throughout the year which will support and advise our pupils through this difficult decision making process.
Pupils in Year 11 will be expected to represent their house or school in a variety of different activities, to become positive members of the school who contribute fully to the wider school community. Concern for the well being and progress every pupil is fundamental to everything that we do in Year 11. Our objective is to ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential, be it through the academic, artistic, sporting or extra-curricular activities on offer and to move on to the next stage in their lives happy and fulfilled.
If there is anything at all that you wish to discuss then please do not hesitate to get in touch via the email address below.
Mr Sean Thomas
